Infertility and Reproductive Endocrinology

The definition of Infertility is not being able to get pregnant after many attempts for one year. It also includes women who are able to become pregnant but then have repeat miscarriages are also considered infertile.

Infertility is a fast moving field of medicine that requires expert knowledge and training for patients to have their desired outcome with quality and professionalism. The infertility field provides many up to date tools, procedures, and services which include Advanced Ovulation Induction, Intrauterine Insemination, In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI), Tubal Litigation Reversal, and Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD). Blastocyst Culture and Transfer is practiced regularly in order to avoid multiple pregnancies and any related possible complications to the mother and child.

Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)

This is the introduction of prepared sperm either of partner or originating from the donor

Advanced Ovulation Induction

The is treating the patient with oral or injectible medication to induce or enhance ovulatory function.

Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI)

This is performed during the IVF procedure for male factor infertility. It is the direct injection of sperm into the cytoplasm (cellular fluid) of the egg.

Blastocyst Transfer

The transfer of a 5-6 day old embryo into the uterus. This new technique not only improves pregnancy rates, but also lowers the rate of multiple pregnancy

Tubal Litigation Reversal

A woman has a tubal ligation procedure performed when she has made the decision not to have any more children, for some it is an easy choice, for others it's a tough decision that they struggle to agree with. And you know the old saying; it's a woman's prerogative to change her mind. That is true and so if you are a woman who has had tubal ligation and you've changed your mind or life circumstances have changed and you now wish to have another child, then you may want to consult with a fertility specialist for a tubal reversal procedure.

We will focus mainly on clinics and procedures in Florida since our data and information is partially from this locale. Tubal reversal procedures in Florida are generally performed in fertility clinics. A tubal reversal procedure can give you with the opportunity to give birth to a child. Assuming that you and your mate have good health, you can actually begin trying to have a baby in only two weeks after the procedure. If your fallopian tubes didn't receive any damage during the tubal ligation process or the reversal procedure your outcome should be positive.

Most people don't realize that tubal ligation is not a permanent procedure; they may be unaware that there are tubal reversal clinics in their area for treatments or help with conception. But the facts are that these clinics offer many couples the perfect opportunity of starting or adding a new member to the family. The success rate is largely determined by the condition of the fallopian tubes. If significant scarring has occurred or if the fallopian tubes were damaged from the first procedure, the possibility exists that you may not be able to give birth to a child.

Therefore, it's a wise decision to schedule an appointment with a fertility doctor to discuss your options. The majority of the time, clinics which have fertility specialists are very successful at renewing fertility for many women. You need to have healthy expectations as well as understand your available choices in case the reversal procedure is not successful. If your medical insurance doesn't cover the tubal reversal treatment, most fertility clinics offer financing options. In fact, if tubal reversal doesn't turn out right, you may want to strongly think about "in vitro fertilization".

In Vitro Fertilization (IVF)

You may be considering or thinking of having a baby and if you experienced problems getting pregnant in the past, then you may want to think of seeing a fertility specialist for fertility treatment. Typically if you've tried to get pregnant for a year or more, you are considered infertile. But the good news is, that there are numerous fertility options available to you that can assist you in getting pregnant. One fertility option that also happens to be one of the most popular options is called"in vitro fertilization". A factor to consider when seeking fertility treatment is the cost of in vitro fertilization. Having a baby is expensive enough, but when you add the cost of fertility, it can be a bit overwhelming, especially if it takes a long period of time for you to conceive.

Cost Of IVF

The cost of in vitro fertilization can vary depending on your location due to fertility clinics having their own unique prices. Therefore, it may be wise to conduct some research and compare prices, if it is all inclusive, as well as fertility specialist recommendations.

During the research, you need to understand that not all insurance policies cover the full cost of "in vitro fertilization". It is best to confirm with your insurance agent to know if limitations do exist and what is and isn't covered. Your insurance policy may include some specific treatment options when it comes to infertility.

Again, remember that you should be aware of all the costs involved in the fertility treatment options that you are having done. In case, your insurance does not take care of the whole bill for the procedure you want or only covers it partially, there are other financing choices available for infertility.

To put your mind at ease, the majority of fertility clinics will readily have information to help you in covering all costs of treatment. Most clinics are aware of the financial hardship of having a child can place on a couple, especially when the baby is from in-vitro fertilization.

Because of this fact, numerous fertility clinics have multiple payment plans and financing options. Always understand fully all costs involved, and be honest with yourself and know what you can afford. Maybe you want to give adoption a try as an alternative. You will need to consider many factors. In the end, no matter how your baby comes to your amrs, a baby will change your life. The joy is simply unlimited from the newborn baby that will stay in your home.

Endometriosis is a medical condition where tissue that resembles the uterus lining is discovered on another part of the body. Especially, around the pelvic cavity such as the ovaries, fallopian tubes or the pelvic walls.

The most prevalent symptom of endometriosis is pelvic pain. The pain normally comes and goes with the menstrual cycle, but a woman with endometriosis may also feel discomfort that doesn’t synchronize with her menstrual cycle. In the majority of women, the endometriosis pain is so extreme and disabling that it affects their lives in major areas.

HOW TO AVOID FERTILITY RISKS

  • venereal diseases (STDs)

If you are a man, the risk increases with:

I've started a hub on curing infertility. It will be controversial, what cure is not. I welcome all opinions as long as they are not rude.
